Love the build! I use this pan over a gas range & live fire on my Santa Maria grill. A dream to cook on!

I have read consumer reports to good housekeeping testing to reading reviews on cookware safety. I enjoy cast iron big pans for oven cooking and I was looking for stovetop. My BIL had texted me about carbon steel pans. I looked and found Santa Barbara. In the US is very important to me to buy in the US products. It came in a nicely packed box and burlap sack. The handle is beautifully made. It feels amazing to cook food in it. It cleans really well. I follow their instructions on cleaning it and oiling it. It’s a beautiful piece of art that can make delicious and safe food to nourish our bodies. Keep up the hard work! It shows in your products. I am saving up to extend my collection .

I’ve alwsys wanted a carbon steel pan because of the superior cooking surface. Until now that desire was unrequited. But now with this gorgeois pan i can start making memories one dish at a time.

This is a cool looking spatula and works very well on the Sonora carbon steel pan!

This is one of the best carbon steel pans that I own. I'll be buying more of the larger ones soon!

Our family was cast iron people. We liked the durability and how they cooked, but never was the show piece on the stove. We always cleaned the best we could and stored the pan. NOW- we leave the SB pans on the stove all the time. Then look great cleaned upend cook even better. I gifted all my kids the small pan and also the XL pan which all love them! No more non stick stuff for us.

April 2025. I purchased the 12" pan. There was a quick turn-around on shipping (2 days) and the package arrived in perfect shape. The pan is beautifully crafted and should stand up for many years of home cooking. I've only used it three times, but so far I am very satisfied. I highly recommend this product and company. Bravo! I ordered 6 pans, One of the pans came in damaged, I called Ben and he sent out a new pan that day and picked up the damaged one (damn UPS), I had been using press out carbon steel pans which had a recall, they are now been trashed,
All I can say is WOW!!. The pans are very well made, much thicker than the press pans you can get on Amazon, but not heavy and well balance, truly works of art. The pans being heaver and thicker it truly made feel like a professional chief, my first cook was a omelet and it was perfect and no sticking to the pan at all, if your looking for quality pans LOOK no further, Santa Barbara forge!!!!!!

I was amazed how well-made this carbon steel frying pan. Thicker in mm, heavy and I can say that I trust the craftmen who worked their craft to an art. Thicker pan such as this will save cooking time as the residual heat will complete my cooking process. I have an Italian-made carbon steel frying pan but the SB beat it for its thickness and artfull workmanship. The only thing that stands out in the Italian pan is its carbon steel handle is welded to the body therefore it doesnt collect after cooking grease and crumbs. A clean pan with no rivets. I just do not understand that you need a bigger capital to make this worked. Ridiculous reply!

Beautiful and really well made. Non-stick out of the butlap bag. No teflon needed. Great heat distribution for my cooking. Love it. Love that its made in SB and the USA.

I live in Santa Barbara so I visited the SB Forge shop, and they could not have been more kind and welcoming. This was my first (test) purchase after several previous carbon steel disappointments. love my large Sonora pan! The look and craftsmanship alone sells it, but it has perfect balance, the artisan handle is awesome, it heats evenly, and the slightly lower sides make it a joy to cook with. Heading down to add to my collection soon!

This pan is made with love and care and craftsman that is far beyond my expectations. It is made so well. I just was blown away at the quality of this pan. Thank you.
